Ramblings

Well we are again sitting in the car in El Paso. I am so bored I changed the voice of Lola the GPS girl to Michelle. Hope she is a little less annoying. We have been in the drive thru for 20 minutes waiting on one car. Blah blah blog

Trying a mobile post

Trying to figure out how to post on the fly. This is my trial run.
This is the painting by Laurel Appel I could not live without.  Eat your heart out!  I might be able to get you a print if you are interested, post a comment.
Look I already am posting on my blog, and it hasn't even been one day.  I want to talk about my beautiful and amazing daughter, Xiao.  Last night she had a showing at her college Art Show.  I knew a few other artists who would be displaying their work at this show, so I canceled my doctors appointment in Albuquerque, dressed up the kids and headed out to inspire us with a little bit of culture.  I must say I am glad that I did.  I was amazed at the quality of work that I saw.  Wow!  There are some amazing artists in little ol' Ruidoso.  I found a painting I could not live without, the artist is a local girl, Laurel Appel.  I was inspired by my instructor Marty Lane, who told about how her mother nurtured a love of art in her own life.  All of these things are worth mentioning, but the real reason for this blog is to brag on my Xiao.  She is quite an artist in her own right, a photographer and out of the four pieces she had entered in the show, she sold six.  Promising signed prints to two late-comers.  Yay for Xiao!  She rocks, I bet there was not another artist in the group who sold every piece they exhibited.  She has a real talent, and I will be posting some of her wonderful work here, as soon as she shoots me a copy of it.  I might even sell you some of it if you like.  One of her new "collectors" told me last night that her work spoke to him, and he and his wife wanted two different pieces.  I guess it's fair to call him a collector.
Trying for the first time to set up a blog.  I don't have any idea what I am doing, but I had an assignment to get this set up.
